Rounded out the month of May at 51k – 10k of that being the outline for Temporary Bliss (Love By Chance #3) which is Gideon and Mika’s story. So not terrible. I managed 18k on Loving Soren (Greymercy #2) and about 7k on the now-shelved Dragonfall. All in all, not a terrible month… I think I’m too hard on myself ;P

Plus, I released Following Chance at the end of the month. That’s always a good feeling.

June’s always been a hard one for me–at least for the past few years. June 26th marks the 3rd year my mom’s been gone. Cancer sucks and I miss her, but I know she’d be so damn proud of me. On the bright side, the new Panic! At The Disco album is out on the 22nd which gives me something to obsess over haha.

That said! It’s time for #RainbowSnippets! #RainbowSnippets is a Facebook group for LGBTQ+ authors, readers, and bloggers to gather once a week to share six sentences from a work of fiction–a WIP or a finished work or even a 6-sentence book recommendation.

So I’ll do a snippet from Following Chance 🙂 Because I love these boys so hard.

My pulse skittered and scrambled with each beat, but all I could do was gaze up at Huxley and cling to the hope that he was right. That he could somehow save me from the skeletons rattling their bones in my closet. 

“Stay,” he whispered. “Let me show you.” 

I threw both arms around his neck and dragged him down on top of me. 

I would stay forever, so long as he kept touching me like I was something to be treasured. Maybe, just maybe, Huxley Reed could polish away the grime so that I could shine bright again.
